Ten homes could be built on the site of an old school, knocked down almost a decade ago.

A mix of two- and three-bed houses and bungalows could be built on the site of the old Trimdon Village Community Infant and Nursery School site on Church Road.

The building itself was knocked down in 2017, but plans submitted to Durham County Council by Oaktree Living hope to give the site a new life.

Plans are for brick-built homes with tiled roofs, with access to the new estate from Church Road.

Plans are now with Durham County Council and a decision is set to be made in the coming weeks.
