The County Council of Durham has announced the temporary closure of a portion of Footpath Number 3 in Seaton with Slingley Parish.
This is to facilitate essential electricity supply cable installations.
The 245-metre stretch, leading north from its junction with Footpath Number 9, north of the Seaton Bank former railway line, will be affected.
There will be no alternative routes for pedestrians during this period.
The order, made on February 27, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, prohibits all pedestrian traffic along the specified part of the footpath.

The maintenance work is scheduled to start on Friday, March 13, and is projected to be completed in two weeks.
However, the order is in place for a maximum duration of six months.
Residents should be aware that alternative dates might be set for the closure if necessary.
These will be signed on site accordingly.
The council has published an official notice detailing the closure.
