A North Yorkshire primary school has received a donation of new books to inspire a love of reading among its pupils.
The donation, worth up to £200, was given to Stokesley Primary Academy by Tilia Homes in support of the school's World Book Day celebrations and the National Year of Reading 2026.
Pupils from Nursery through to Year 6 will benefit from the books, which include age-appropriate class reads, poetry collections, and the full 16-book Roald Dahl collection.
Victoria Barlow, sales manager at Tilia Homes Northern, said: "It’s been wonderful to support Stokesley Primary Academy and encourage local children to discover the joy of reading.
"The pupils are an important part of this community, so being able to support them during the National Year of Reading feels especially meaningful.
"At The Bluebells at Tanton Fields, we’re committed to building a strong community.
"Supporting the local school is a small but meaningful way for us to give back and bring that community spirit to life."
The selection of books was chosen by the school and covers a variety of themes, including mixed heritage family, culture, identity, mythology, humour, and school life.
The aim is to support reading development and foster a lifelong passion for books during the primary years.
Prinicipal of Stokesley Primary Academy, Ms Madden, said: "We’re really grateful to Tilia Homes for their book donation.
"These books will bring joy to our pupils, spark curiosity, and help develop a lifelong love of reading.
"It’s wonderful to see local initiatives such as this – investing in the education and growth of our pupils."
The books were formally presented to the school on Thursday, March 5.
To mark World Book Day, children celebrated by dressing up as their favourite book characters.
The donation is part of Tilia Homes’ broader commitment to community engagement.

The company recently sponsored Stokesley Junior Football Team and plans to continue offering educational and community opportunities near its developments throughout the year.
Tilia Homes is currently building the final phase of its Bluebells development at Tanton Fields in Stokesley.
The scheme includes a mix of three, four, and five-bedroom homes in both traditional two-storey and modern three-storey designs.
