A man has appeared in the dock following an alleged sex attack in Darlington.
The 59-year-old appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court following an alleged incident on Tuesday, February 24.
A spokesperson for Durham Police said: "A man has been charged with sexual assault following an incident in Darlington on Tuesday, February 24.
"The 59-year-old of Darlington appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with two counts of sexual assault and four counts of assault by penetration.
"He was remanded in custody."
