'Ghost' caught on camera at Ryton Masonic Hall, Gateshead

Linzi Sheeran, who is from Rotherham, visited Ryton Masonic Hall in Gateshead earlier this month.

The ghost hunter, who has appeared on Sky TV and Channel 4 said she has been interested in the paranormal for many years.

She said: "I was on a ghost hunt with my friend Netty; it was my first visit to Ryton Masonic Hall.

"I have not investigated here before, but we will definitely return at some point as it was amazing. I also feel the spirits have so much more to tell."

Linzi and her friend were in the masons temple, where she said she captured a "small boy" on camera.

She said: "On the images I have captured, it seems to look like there is a small boy sat looking at us.

"In a couple of the other images it looks like someone stood behind the boy."

However, capturing the 'ghost' on camera was not the only spooky incident to happen while exploring the masonic hall.

Linzi explained: "One of the doors in the hall just opened by itself. I have witnessed this before in different buildings, it is amazing when it happens. 

"To think spirit could do this is pretty amazing, all the energy it must take."

The ghost hunter said she tries to debunk anything that happens as not everything is paranormal, but on this occasion she could not.

"There were no breezes or drafts, the door was firmly wedged with a piece of wood on a carpeted floor, no one touched the door," she said.

"There was no explanation as to why it happened. It made me jump at the time, and I was livestreaming on my Facebook paranormal page, Linzi's Para Quest, so everyone watching saw it happen too."

However, despite the spookiness of the hall, Linzi said she cannot wait to return.

"I am very lucky that I get to travel all over the UK and the world investigating," she said.

"But I did love Ryton Masonic Hall and I will definitely return soon."
