Organisers of a new music festival coming to a County Durham castle have revealed the first big names to headline the event.
The two-day Opulence event at Lumley Castle, near Chester-le-Street, will feature performances from Marti Pellow and Gabrielle.
Organised by ATA Events, the festival will begin on September 4 with its newly-announced Live at Lumley Castle concert and will be followed by a house music showcase on September 5.
Daz Flatman, operations manager at ATA Events, said: "We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of interest in Opulence since we announced it.
"And now with the news of who is performing, we are confident we will have a sell-out event.
"An iconic backdrop like Lumley Castle needs iconic performers and so who better than both Marti Pellow and Gabrielle, supported by some of the region’s most loved musicians."
Marti Pellow, former frontman of Wet Wet Wet, is known for hits including Love Is All Around, Sweet Surrender, and Wishing I Was Lucky.
The Scottish singer has also enjoyed a successful solo career and starred in numerous musicals in London’s West End and on Broadway.
He will be joined by award-winning British singer-songwriter Gabrielle, whose chart-topping singles include Dreams, Rise, and Out of Reach.
Gabrielle’s accolades include two BRIT Awards, an Ivor Novello award, and two MOBO awards.
Their performances will be supported by North East favourites including Smoove and Turrell, Soulutions, and Newcastle-based artist Kate Bond.
Standard tickets for Live at Lumley Castle start at £55 and are available to those aged 18 and over.
VIP tickets are priced from £85 and include access to the VIP area next to the main stage, fast-track entry, a dedicated premium bar, and premium toilets.
A limited number of VVIP tickets are available for £160 per person.
These tickets include private tables under cover on a raised area overlooking the stage, waiter service, canapés, nibbles, and access to the VIP area.
Only 100 VVIP tickets are available, and registration via the event website is required for purchase.

The second day of Opulence, which takes place on September 5, will focus on house music, with the full line-up set to be announced in the coming week.
ATA Events has more than 20 years of experience in staging major music events. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, February 26.
