The Northern Echo is on the hunt for the best hairdresser in Darlington and County Durham, and one in Fishburn has reached the top ten for the second year in a row.
Calum Paul, 33 and Gary James, 36, opened the salon as it was something they had always wanted to do after working in separate salons- Calum in Middlesbrough and Gary in Durham.
The Fishburn shop was previously vacant and they decided to take the big leap and have never looked back. Now, they are getting ready to celebrate their twelfth year.
Calum said: "We now have a large client base from our previous salons and new clientele who joined us here. In the last 11-years we have won awards and always tried to keep up to date with the trends as well as introducing new services when we can.
"One we are most proud of is the keratin hair treatment. We are a small salon and want it to be a home from home for our customers as we take pride in our high end, high quality services with affordable, reasonable pricing.
"We want to thank each and everyone one of our customers loyal and new that have helped us continue for this long and for many years to come."
Keratin is a semi-permanent, chemical-based process designed to reduce frizz, curl, and volume while adding intense shine and, in many cases, making hair straighter.
The pair have also branched into using their own hair product line that gets used throughout the salon and is available for retail as well.
The salon is closed Mondays and Sundays and open the rest of the week, you can book in by contacting them on Facebook or giving them a call.
It is located at 6A Breckon Terrace in Fishburn near Sedgefield.
