A depraved pervert who shared sickening videos of children, some just months old, being sexually abused has been jailed.
Thomas Corking was arrested when police searched his Darlington home and recovered digital devices with more than a thousand files of child sex abuse stashed away in the memory.
Teesside Crown Court heard how the 29-year-old’s partner, Ashley Robinson, was also arrested as part of the investigation and he will be sentenced at a later date.
Emma Atkinson, prosecuting, said more than 1,000 images and videos in Category A were recovered from the defendant’s digital devices and depicted children aged down to three months old being sexually abused.
She said: “On November 12 last year, the police attended his address where he resides with his partner Mr Robinson, after the had information that images of children had been digitally shared from that address.
“Two devices were seized, an iPhone was hidden underneath a pillow and an iPad was recovered from the coffee table.”
Miss Atkinson said a secure folder was found on the phone, which was pin protected, where a video of a child being raped was discovered.
The court heard how evidence was recovered of the defendant sharing indecent images via the Telegram app with texts to particular users outlining his deviant sexual proclivities, including fantasising about raping a child.
Corking, now of Rosslare Road, Stockton, pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children in Category A – the most serious offence, one charge of making indecent images of children in Category B, one charge of making indecent images of children in Category C, a charge of possession of prohibited images and three charges of distribution of indecent images of children in Category A, B and C.
Reece Williams, mitigating, said his client had never been in trouble before and had been living an isolated and lonely life at times.

He said: “The exploitation of children, particularly as young as those in this case, are always viewed as serious offences.
“Many children are scarred for their entire lives because of men like you.”
- Corking was made subject to a ten-year sexual harm prevention order and told to sign on the sex offenders’ register for the same period.
