Nando’s is set to expand and revamp its Teesside Park restaurant.
The chicken chain, which has been based at the shopping park since 2016, will soon be extending the back of its restaurant after plans were approved.
The interior of the restaurant will also be refurbished as part of the bid with an extra 42 covers added, taking the total from 104 to 146.
New booths, a refreshed waiting space and a new drinks and sauce station were featured in the planning application submitted last year.
Design drawings of the floor plan show bright orange touches to booths and decor, shrubbery, and long central tables, with the space currently home to toilets also made into extra seating.
The plans, which were approved by Stockton Borough Council late last month, will also see the introduction of a delivery hatch to the side of the building.

It also follows approved plans for a new LED heart to be added to the side of the building.
Nando’s, which has restaurants in Darlington, Middlesbrough, and Stockton, first opened at Teesside Park in 2016 into a newly-built unit beside Asda and the now Poundland store.
