Superdrug has revealed plans to open 30 new stores across the UK in 2026, creating around 600 jobs.
The health and beauty retailer, which was founded back in 1964, currently has more than 780 shops across the UK and Ireland.
Superdrug is now set to expand its portfolio by opening 30 new stores.
These planned openings come as a result of "strong customer demand" in-store, said Superdrug bosses.
The retailer said it will continue to invest particularly in "large-format destination stores and retail park locations".
Superdrug also plans to complete 60 store refits during 2026, as Superdrug commits “significant investment” across its estate.

Turbulent start to 2026 for UK high street
It has been a rough start to 2026 for the UK high street, with several retailers entering administration and others announcing widespread store closures.
Major high street retailers, including River Island, Primark, and Poundland, have been forced to close stores already in 2026.
Revolution owners The Revel Collective also closed 21 bars across the country in January after falling into administration, resulting in the loss of 591 jobs.

Tesco also recently revealed plans to cut 380 jobs in stores across the UK.
It's not been all bad news for the UK high street, with several major brands announcing new store openings for 2026.
Last year, Aldi revealed plans to open 80 new stores nationwide in 2026/27 as part of a £1.6 billion expansion.
Marks and Spencer (M&S) also previously revealed a list of 500 locations in the UK it is considering for new stores.
Lidl announced plans to open 19 new stores in the next eight weeks back in January, as part of its continued expansion across the UK.
While Co-op recently confirmed that 18 new and newly refurbished stores will open in the first three months of 2026.
