A Valentines Day event strictly for singles will be coming to Darlington market next week.

The event, called ‘Broken Hearts and Good Vibes’ has been created for single guys and girls who would “rather celebrate freedom than fairy tales”.

Located at Darlington market on February 14, the event starts at 7pm to 9pm.

Customers will be able to enjoy a variety of activities including a shredding station, which organisers say is perfect for “shredding the memories you’d rather forget”, painting your own wine glass and adding their dating disasters to a red flag board.

Themed photo opportunities and limited-edition cocktails will also be available to sip on throughout the night.

Ticket prices from £7.21 include a free shot on arrival and everything you will need to paint your own wine glass.

A spokesperson said: “With live music, big energy and zero pressure, it's the perfect night out for anyone who's single, sarcastic or simply over it.

“This Valentine’s Day, we're ditching the cliches and turning heartbreak into a party!

"Gather your friends and step into a night of fun, laughter, good vibes, killer drinks and unapologetic fun!”
