A Newton Aycliffe teenager has appeared in the dock accused of a string of offences.
Alfie Grimes was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failure to stop and having no insurance following his arrest on January 13.
He was arrested following an alleged police chase from Bishop Auckland to Woodham where he was arrested on the golf course.

The 18-year-old was also charged with theft of a Keeway motorbike in Ferryhill on January 10.
The teenager entered not guilty pleas at an earlier court hearing.
His bail application was rejected at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court.
Grimes, of Aldfrid Place, Newton Aycliffe, was remanded in custody until the date of his trial on March 6.
