Barclays' former Barnard Castle branch has hit the market for half a million pounds, more than a year after it closed.
The Grade II-listed Market Place site closed in 2024, months before it was initially due to close in January 2025.
Barclays said low footfall, with just 28 customers visiting the site regularly for in-person banking, was behind the decision.
Several public meetings were held following the closure of the Barclays branch in September 2024 in a bid to maintain face-to-face services in the town.
A banking hub was announced last January and opened in a temporary location at the Witham Arts Centre in March 2025.
Details for the opening date of a permanent site have not yet been confirmed.
The Barclays building is now looking for a new owner, and is up for sale for £500,000.
