Two people have been arrested and a number of others were injured after a group of "young men on quadbikes" went on a crime spree overnight.
Cleveland Police say the group, made up of 10 to 15 young men, are being linked to a number of incidents includng a stabbing that took place on Saturday and into the early hours of Sunday (January 11) morning.
Two men, aged 23 and 18, were arrested early this morning in connection with the incidents and were taken to police custody for questioning.
Police say at about 10.20pm, the quadbike riding group knocked over a 53-year-old woman on Norham Walk in Ormesby, injuring her arm and causing damage to her Audi A3.
They are then said to have left the area towards Normanby Road and Cargo Fleet Lane.
Shortly after, the same group is believed to have gone to Tasties takeaway on Allendale Road in Ormesby where they knocked over and injured two men aged 45 and 36, and damaged a silver VW Golf.
Both men were left with serious cuts to their arms and legs as a result of the incident.
Then, shortly before 1am this morning (January 11), police were called to an incident where a man had been stabbed in an address on Slater Walk in Grangetown.
The man was attacked by the group and a window at the property was smashed.
Police say the suspects had attended on quadbikes and are believed to be the same group of people involved in the earlier incidents.
The same group then moved onto Goji’s Pizza Di Mare on High Street in Redcar at around 1.45am, where a woman working there was threatened.
A force spokesperson said: "These incidents will undoubtedly cause some concern for people living in Grangetown and Ormesby, and we have patrols in these areas today and for the coming days to provide a police presence for people living in these communities.
