A County Durham born wellness brand loved by a Geordie Shore star is set to open a number of new locations this year, creating dozens of jobs.

Glow, which currently operates in Durham and Spennymoor, will open new spots in Newcastle, Thinford and more this year thanks to a multi-million pound investment.

Branded as the North East's 'ultimate luxury hybrid tanning experience', the business provides sunbeds, beauty and wellness rooms and has grown in popularity after opening in January 2025.

The brand now boasts more than 5,000 Instagram followers and welcomes influencer and celebrity clients, including Charlotte Crosby of Geordie Shore fame.

Mitchell Anderson, co-founder of Glow, said: "This next phase is about building something long-term and high-quality.

"The investment we are making in 2026 is focused on the right locations, the right people and maintaining standards as we grow.”

The expansion is also set to create up to 50 jobs in the process, taking their total number of employees to 70 - as the team prepares to open their newest location on Scotswood Road in Newcastle.

Mitchell added: "We opened our first stores, listened carefully to customers and refined how we operate before committing to further expansion.

"That discipline gives us confidence, and we are now actively seeking additional locations across the region."
