A County Durham travel agency has been crowned the Best Travel Business in England at England’s Business Awards.
Hays Travel’s Spennymoor branch took home the national title at the 2025 awards ceremony.
The event was held at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham on Sunday, November 16.
Clare McGarr, branch manager at Hays Travel Spennymoor, said: "We are so very proud and feel very humble that our customers have not only nominated us but voted for us to win this award.
"We are overjoyed to be recognised by our customers for our customer service and passion for booking their holidays."
Ms McGarr also praised her colleagues and said the win still feels surreal.
She said: "I am very proud of the team and everything they do.
"We still cannot believe we have won a national award like this."
Paula Barrett, head of retail at Hays Travel, said the win is a testament to the team’s dedication.
She said: "I'm absolutely thrilled that our Spennymoor branch has been named Best Travel Business in England at England's Business Awards.

England’s Business Awards celebrate excellence across a wide range of industries, with regional finals leading up to the national event.
Hays Travel Spennymoor was previously named Best Travel Agent in County Durham at the regional finals in April.
