BBC presenter Sara Cox has raised millions of pounds this week on a 135-mile trek for Children in Need.
The Radio 2 DJ is currently covering the final stretch of her 'Great Northern Marathon Challenge', from Ripley near Harrogate to the finish line, aptly, in Pudsey, Leeds.
She began her journey in Kielder in Northumberland on Monday (November 10), passing through County Durham and North Yorkshire on her five-day challenge, and has so far raised more than £6m for the annual appeal.
At the time of writing, Sara has raised £6,045,049.
Reacting to the big news, she told Radio 2 colleague Gary Davis: "Oh my God, that's incredible. That's such a big leap. That's going to spur me right on."
Her fundraiser only tipped over the £4m mark about four hours earlier.
On Wednesday (November 16), Cox broke down in tears as she learnt she had raised £1m mark after arriving in Cockfield, County Durham.
Sara surpassed the halfway mark of her challenge in County Durham on Wednesday (November 12), where she was met cheered on by crowds in Staindrop and Cockfield and a guard of around 40 tractors in Winston which revved their engines in support.
Later that day, the presenter limped over the line in Richmond marking the end of the third day.

Now, she is covering the final stretch of her journey into West Yorkshire towards the finish line at Pudsey.
Earlier today, Sara received a royal message of support from Prince William, who congratulated her on her efforts after surpassing the £4 million mark.
In a video message to the broadcaster, the Prince of Wales said: "You’re so nearly there, just a little bit further, and I know the people of Pudsey will all come out and welcome you with huge open arms, big hugs, and hopefully, lots of your favourite crumpets.
“Keep going, you’ve done fantastically well, and the nation’s so proud of you.”

The Red Arrows are planning to meet Sara at the finish line later.
The annual Children In Need telethon starts on BBC iPlayer and BBC One at 7pm today (Friday, November 14).
