Fenwick has unveiled its Christmas window display for 2025.
Crowds gathered outside the department store on Northumberland Street in Newcastle on Sunday (November 2) evening for the big reveal.
This year, Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol' is the inspiration - with the window showing the character of Ebenezer Scrooge on his unexpected quest to capture his festive spirit.
Scenes in the Fenwick windows include Scrooge with the ghost of Christmas past and Christmas yet to come, and finally 'transformed Scrooge' celebrating the holiday with the Cratchit family.
The display, inspired by the 1843 novel, has been put together by author and illustrator Chris Riddell - who also masterminded last year's 'Twelve Days of Christmas' display.
Chris said: "I was thrilled to be asked to produce designs for Fenwick’s Christmas windows again this year.
"The theme of A Christmas Carol was so rich and resonant with the ghosts and Scrooge and a host of Dickensian characters, I couldn’t resist the challenge.
"The amazing team went to work on my drawings and have turned them into 3D tableaux that are breathtaking. I can’t wait to see them come to life in the iconic Fenwick Christmas window."
Mia Fenwick, from Fenwick, added: "This year’s reimagining of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol combines Chris’s distinctive artistry with our team’s craftsmanship to create a celebration of storytelling, creativity and festive spirit."
Close up pictures of the display show the intricately crafted scenes which have taken months to put together using hundreds of metres of fabrics and costumes.
