A Darlington bar that gave a new lease of life to a closed-down bank has gone on the market after nearly nine years.
Number One Bar & Coffee House, named for its address at 1 Skinnergate, is up for sale for £699,000.
The Grade II listed, five-storey building, once home to Lloyds before the bank closed in 2013, has been home to Number One since 2016.
The buyer will get the entire five-storey building, complete with the operational business on the ground floor and basement. It has planning permission for seven flats for the upper floors, agents Christie & Co say.
Nunmber One has been known for its dual role as a coffee house by day and a bar by night, but is currently only open reduced hours, on Fridays and Saturdays until late.
The bar offers seating for around 200 customers, with areas also available to book and hire. All fixtures and fittings are included in the sale, except some owned by third parties or personal to the current owners.
Agents say the current owners are selling up as they are looking to pursue other business interests.

A listing says: "The property is ideally positioned for further development and enhancement under new ownership.
"It offers a rare chance to acquire a trading venue with reliable revenue streams and strong local presence, while also providing scope for growth through the introduction of a restaurant element to broaden its customer base."
