A man has been jailed for a sexual assault on a woman, and possessing indecent images of children.

Kieron Wilson was previously found guilty of touching the woman without consent in March this year.

The 24-year-old had earlier pleaded guilty to possession of 35 indecent images of children at an earlier hearing.

Wilson, of Willance Grove, Richmond, appeared for sentencing at York Magistrates’ Court earlier this month.

The court heard how 34 images in his downloads were classified as category C, while one was category B.

Wilson also admitted breaching a previously imposed sexual harm prevention order by having two people under 18 in his home.

He was sentenced to 12 months in custody for all offences and was ordered to pay £200 compensation to the victim of the sexual assault.
