A towering T-Rex and baby dinosaurs are set to make a roaring return to the North East this half-term.

The prehistoric visitors will appear at Newcastle's Life Science Centre as part of a one-week-only interactive show by Teach Rex, running from Saturday, October 25 to Sunday, November 2.

The two-metre-high animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex and its smaller companions promise to take families on an immersive journey back to the age of dinosaurs, with opportunities for visitors to get up close and snap a photo with the giant creatures.

Alongside the dinosaur fun, there will also be a chance to make spooky shadow lanterns to take home, trick your senses with real-life minibeast specimens in Experiment Zone (age seven and above), and enjoy a live theatre show that reveals just how easy it is to be tricked.

The dinosaur show is just one highlight of Life’s October half-term programme.

Families can also enjoy a mix of science-themed tricks and treats throughout the week.

The centre is open until 7pm on Friday, October 31, with a spooky disco, slime workshops, and a yucky feely wall.

Visitors can also explore the science centre after dark.

All shows, including the Teach Rex experience and the Halloween late-night event, are included in the standard entry ticket.
