Man in court as baby fights for life in hospital after Eston incident

A man is due to appear in court today after a three-month-old baby was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Cleveland Police was called to a property in the Eston area, by the ambulance service on Sunday, October 5.

The three-month-old baby boy was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) in Newcastle, where he remains in a 'critical' condition.

The 22-year-old man has been charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court today (October 7).
