A person has been taken to hospital after a two-car smash in the early hours of the morning.
Emergency crews were called at 12.30am to the crash involving a Suzuki Alto and a Fiat Punto on Cargo Fleet Lane in Middlesbrough on Tuesday, September 16.
A witness told the Echo they saw one of the cars “completely on its side” as emergency services worked at the scene.
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) said: “We received a call at 12.31am on Tuesday, September 16, to reports of a road traffic incident on Cargo Fleet Lane in Middlesbrough.
"We dispatched an ambulance crew and a clinical team leader to the scene, and transported one patient to James Cook University Hospital for further treatment.”
A Cleveland Police spokesperson added: "There was a collision involving two vehicles reported around 12.30am this morning, Tuesday, September 16, involving a Suzuki Alto and a Fiat Punto.
"An occupant of the Suzuki was given roadside assistance from paramedics for suspected minor injuries."
