A town centre pub once damaged by a kitchen fryer blaze has hit the market for £50,000.
Plaza, on Dovecot Street in Stockton, has been put up for sale as an “outstanding opportunity” by property agent Parker Barras.
The bar, which boasts a total area of roughly 3,020 sq ft and is sited in a “well-frequented” area, was revamped last year after a fire that caused "heavy smoke damage".
As reported, a cordon was erected around the pub in November 2023 after a fire started in a kitchen fryer, with firefighters remaining at the scene for several hours.
The pub was boarded up for a period of time and remained closed to the public before re-opening once again in late October 2024.
Despite the listing, Plaza, which was previously run as The Ivy House, Pound Pub, and Georgia Browns, remains operating, with a weekly turnover of around £9,000.

The listing on Rightmove adds that the open-plan bar could also be used for retail, office space, or other commercial ventures, subject to the relevant planning permission.
It states: “The property benefits from excellent visibility, high foot traffic, and easy accessibility, making it a prime location for any business looking to establish themselves in a vibrant and bustling area.”
The sale includes all relevant fixtures, fittings, and stock at the time of sale, which “allows for a seamless transition and continued operation of the business”.
