A night of comedy in Darlington turned into a heartwarming reunion between two veteran performers.
Comedy star Mick Miller played to a full house at the Harrowgate Club in Darlington on Thursday, September 4, where he was reunited backstage with fellow comedian Walter Gee, 93, for the first time in more than 30 years.
Mr Miller and Mr Gee, who worked together in the 1980 Darlington Civic Theatre Christmas pantomime, went on to share stages across the UK during the heyday of variety entertainment.
Mr Gee said: "It was a real joy to share memories and laughs once again after all this time, especially here in Darlington, where so much happened for us both in panto.
"Mick was in fantastic form and the Darlington crowd loved his time on stage – his delivery is the best in the business.
"He fills venues in 2025 and sends people home smiling."
Mr Miller, who described Mr Gee as "one of the finest comics to come out of the North East comedy circuit," said: "It was a real joy and surprise to meet up with Walter in Darlington.
"He retired from comedy in 1993 but he was one of the finest comics to come out of the North East comedy circuit.
"Through the 1980s and a bit beyond we always seemed to be working together and we shared endless laughs."

The emotional reunion added an extra spark to Mr Miller’s sell-out show, which ended with a standing ovation from the Darlington audience.
Mr Miller is set to return to the North East later this year with his Christmas show.
He will perform at the Roker Hotel in Sunderland on December 4 and at the North Ormesby Club in Middlesbrough on December 18.
