Tomahawk Steakhouse has launched a new takeaway fish and chips menu in Yarm after plans for its new High Street chippy were knocked back.
Last year, the chain announced plans to open Yarm Fisheries at 89 High Street following the closure of Barnacle's.
But the new venture, set for the former Greedy Ted's pizza shop, suffered a blow earlier this year after the council rejected retrospective planning permission.
Tomahawk owner Howard Eggleston told the Echo in July that he was hoping to launch a new range at the Yarm restaurant in the meantime - and has revealed the new menu.
Cod, pies, jumbo sausages, and even chicken parmo and chips are all featured on the new takeaway menu, available everyday from 12pm until 8pm.
And what would be a chippy without mushy peas, chip shop curry sauce, gravy and beans, all of which are also up for grabs.
Prices include £9.95 for a regular cod or pie (steak, mince and onion, and parmo pies all available) and beef dripping chips or £7.95 for a jump sausage and beef dripping chips.
As reported, the new venture was initially eyeing up a launch earlier this year.
But Stockton Borough Council rejected the permission and listed building consent to install a ventilation flue to eliminate "both cooking vapours and bad smells”.
It argued that the plans did not provide enough information on why the flue would not negatively impact on the area, branding the design as “obtrusive and incongruous feature”.
But Mr Eggleston said he has not given up on bringing a new chippy to Yarm, and is investigating how he can make it happen.

He has already secured the vintage name from the owner of 'Yarm Fisheries', which dates back to the 1970s, for the new shop last year.
And Mr Egglestone said there is even potential to bring back the vinegar from Cecil Wren, who owned the vinegar factory in Yarm which last operated in the early 1970s.
It comes as Tomahawk prepares to open Spanish tapas spot La Terraza in the upstairs of its current Yarm restaurant, which is eyeing up an Autumn launch.
