Durham County residents are set for door-knocks over unconfirmed voter registration details.
Starting Wednesday, August 20, canvassers will visit those who have not updated their information as part of the council's annual check.
This initiative ensures the electoral register is accurate.
In July, each household received forms via email and post requesting confirmation of details.
Canvassers are now calling on those yet to respond, offering help in completing forms.
If nobody is home, a reminder form will be posted through the door.
Steven Templeton, Durham County Council's electoral services manager, said: "It’s important that everyone who is eligible to vote is registered to, so that they can have their say in any future elections.
"It won’t take long to complete the forms, and our canvassers are there to help anyone who needs assistance."
The council advises residents to check the ID badges and hi-vis jackets of the canvassers before disclosing any information.
Those not registered will not find their names on the forms.
Mr Templeton said: "The easiest way to register is online, or you can contact our electoral services office and ask for a registration form to be sent in the post."

People who have recently moved, or have details not listed on the form, can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
