A motorcyclist has suffered a broken ankle in a serious crash with a car.
The crash happened at around 12.25pm on Saturday, August 2, on the A691/Stockerley Lane, Consett, and involved a Ducati Monster motorbike and a Kia Soul car.
The female motorcyclist suffered a broken ankle and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The road was also closed for several hours while the emergency services helped those involved.
A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a two vehicle road traffic incident on Woodside Band, Consett just before 12.30pm on Saturday, 2 August.
"We dispatched a double crewed ambulance and one patient was taken to University Hospital of North Durham."
An investigation is ongoing and officers would like to hear from anyone they may not have already spoken to who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage.
