Richard Hammond has joked about a new TV show idea which would see him reunite with Jeremy Clarkson and James May.
The presenter worked alongside his two friends for over two decades on the popular motoring shows, Top Gear and The Grand Tour.
This came to an end last year with one final special, The Grand Tour: One For The Road, released on Prime Video.
Speaking to the Oxford Mail, one of The Northern Echo's Newsquest sister papers, this week, Mr Hammond joked about reuniting with Mr Clarkson and Mr May for a special TV show.

When asked about what kind of TV show the trio could do together without a focus on motoring, he said: “I think we’d set up a three-a-side football team and take on the world.”
The presenter also gave an insight into how often he meets up with his friends from Top Gear and The Grand Tour after the latter came to an end last year.
Reflecting on his relationship with Jeremy and James, he added: “We still talk.
“We always used to be asked that a lot, but we were together so much filming that the only way to spend more time together would have been to marry one another really.

“We had time to go home, unpack, catch up, remember where you lived, and we were all together again, so we never got into the habit of massively socialising together.

“We do as we’ll meet up at parties and events and always shall obviously as you don’t spend nearly 25 years working with people and not become friends.”
Mr Hammond was speaking ahead of his appearance at Salon Privé later this month, which will be held at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock.
The event, which turns 20 years old this year, hosts a world-class lifestyle experience that brings together the finest in classic cars, supercars, fine dining, and high-end brands in a setting steeped in British heritage.
