A person has been taken to hospital after an incident in Crook.
Emergency services were called to the County Durham town on Tuesday (July 29) following reports of a medical incident around 2.20pm.
An air ambulance was sent to the scene and it is understood that the helicopter landed near Tennyson Terrace, although this has not been confirmed.
A Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) spokesperson said paramedics worked to assess and treat a patient before they were taken to hospital in a road ambulance.
Their condition remains unknown.
A spokesperson said: "Our critical care team was activated at 2.20pm to reports of a medical incident in Crook.

"We had a doctor and two paramedics on board our aircraft and they arrived on scene at 2.32pm.
"Our team worked alongside the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) to assess and treat a patient.
"The patient was taken to hospital by a NEAS road crew, accompanied by our team."
