Residents across County Durham and North Yorkshire are celebrating a surprise boost to their bank balances after the lucky postcodes won big in the Postcode Lottery.
Eight postcodes hit the jackpot in the region this week, with members winning £1,000 each.
In County Durham, residents in Consett (DH8 8JN), Wolsingham (DL13 3JU) and Satley (DL13 4HW) received the cash boost.
Whereas, in Teesside and North Yorkshire, four lucky postcodes are also celebrating.
Nunthorpe (TS7 0PX), Billingham (TS23 2EG), Filey (YO14 0JR), and Tadcaster (LS24 8BD), have been named with entered residents earning £1,000 each.
The People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription lottery which aims to raise money for charities while also bringing cash prizes to homes across the UK.
The People’s Postcode Lottery unveils daily prizes for postcodes across the UK including £30,000 jackpots for every winning ticket in a postcode on weekends and £1,000 prizes for 20 different postcodes every day.
A minimum of 33 per cent from each ticket goes to charity and players have raised more than £950 million for over 9,000 charities and good causes since 2005.
