The RAF have announced additional flying exercises over the skies of the North East and North Yorkshire this week.
According to the RAF, the exercises may involve activities into the early hours of the morning and will involve airspace over County Durham, North Yorkshire, Cumbria, and Tyne and Wear.
The additional jet activity is due to RAF Typhoons travelling from RAF Coningsby and RAF Lossiemouth, supported by Teesside Airport's Draken fleet.
It's expected that the evening flying will take place until Friday (July 11).
A spokesperson for the RAF said: "There might be later than normal flying around the region this week as RAF Typhoons from RAF Coningsby and RAF Lossiemouth, supported by Teesside Airport's Draken fleet, take part in routine night flying exercises.

"The night flying, which commences on Monday (July 7), will see RAF Typhoons flying up to 1.15am from Coningsby and up to 1.30am from Lossiemouth.
"The night flying will finish on Friday morning.
"These routine night exercises take place several times a year from both Coningsby in Lincolnshire and Lossiemouth in Northern Scotland and are an essential part of aircrew training."
