A County Durham fish bar has enlisted a social media chef to update its menu.

Grandpa's Fish Bar in Lanchester has had TikTok food star Ryan Robinson join its staff for a limited number of days to lend a hand at the popular takeaway.

Ryan has more than 38,000 followers on the video-sharing social media site where he travels the North East working with restaurants and takeaways to get a glimpse behind the cookers.

"Ryan's here for two days with us and we're chuffed to have him here," Grandpa's owner Rich Weatherburn said.

"He's working with us as a normal member of staff for a few days."

"He's going to be doing a fishcake and Irish curry sauce dish, pulling together two of our most popular things on the menu," Rich said.
