The Northern Echo takes a look at all of the crimes reported to police in April 2025.
Using data published through Durham Constabulary, the map shows which areas were most affected by crime that month and pinpoints where every incident was recorded.
Violent and sexual offences were the most frequently recorded in the Darlington area, with anti-social behaviour coming a close second in the data, which records more than 1,200 reported incidents.
As well as the town itself, the data includes offences recorded in Hurworth, Middleton St George and other surrounding villages.
A teenager sent shockwaves around the town when he used a dumper truck to smash into several homes on a new build housing estate on Hurworth Moor.
The properties sustained a significant amount of damage to its walls, windows, and doors in the incident at 8.50pm on April 27.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted criminal damage, driving without insurance, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and two counts of aggravated vehicle taking. He will be sentenced later this month.
An investigation was launched after two vehicles were set on fire outside of a Darlington property in a suspected arson on April 14.
A Ford Ranger and Mercedes CLA could be seen destroyed and burnt out outside of the property on Durham Road, Coatham Mundeville in Darlington.
Nobody was inside the property at the time of the fire.
A Darlington woman has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent after an 'attack' left a man with injuries to his neck and back on Saturday, April 12.
In an incident on April 9, a woman was arrested and one person taken to hospital following an alleged attack in a Darlington churchyard.

Police and paramedics were called to St Cuthbert's Church in Darlington town centre on just after midday following reports of an assault.
Officers were told that a woman was attacking a man in the yard.
And three people were detained by police after a "street brawl" in Darlington.
Officers were called to the town centre on Thursday, April 24, after reports of three men fighting near the indoor market at around 1.15pm.
