Tributes have been paid to a 23-year-old who 'lit up every room' after he died in a motorbike crash in Newton Aycliffe.
Rider Cameron Stewart was left with 'critical injuries' and was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash with a car on Williamfield Way on Tuesday (June 3) evening.
It happened at the same time as a memorial for a teenager who died last year in a motorbike smash was taking place.
Paying tribute to him on Friday (June 6) his heartbroken family said: “Cameron was a beloved son, partner, brother, grandson, uncle, stepdad, nephew, cousin, and great friend to many.
“He lit up every room he walked in as if he had brought a whole bus load of people in.
“We want to thank everybody for their kindness at this sad time.”
A woman was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released under investigation.
A spokesperson for Durham Police said: "Investigators would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage of the vehicles prior to the incident."
Flowers, balloons and written tributes have been placed on the corner of Williamfield Way and Kirkstone Place by mourners of all ages paying their respects this week.

"We will miss you, so will all of Aycliffe. Love from Sean, Huey and the Cafe H.Q crew x".
Wayne and 13-year-old pal Bobby Grimes, also from Aycliffe, died in a crash at nearby Rushyford on July 5 last year when their motorbike was hit by a car after swerving into oncoming traffic.
