A Darlington man who nicked a bottle of wine from Sainsbury’s has been ordered to pay for the booze in court.
Michael Aggett, of Yarm Road, stole the bottle of red valued at £8 from the supermarket in Darlington a week before Christmas, on December 18 last year.
Appearing before Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court last week the 46-year-old pleaded guilty to a charge of theft.
Magistrates ordered him to pay compensation of £8.
