A new mural celebrating Middlesbrough Football Club’s first major trophy has been unveiled next to the Riverside Stadium.
The Ceefax-style artwork, which is located underneath the Shepherdson Way bridge, depicts the television text service’s full-time result from Boro’s famous victory in the 2004 League Cup final.
Boro’s triumph against Sam Allardyce's Bolton Wanderers in Cardiff is one of the greatest days in the club’s history and led to a memorable first campaign in Europe.
Managed by Steve McClaren, goals from Joseph-Desire Job and a Boudewijn Zenden penalty secured the silverware for the Teesside club.
Speaking after the unveiling of the new Ceefax-style mural, Middlesbrough Mayor Chris Cooke said: "This is a brilliant reminder of a day that will always be special to Boro fans.
"It sits nicely alongside the artwork that celebrates Ali Brownlee’s famous commentary from the UEFA Cup semi-final and is another way of brightening up the area around the stadium.
"I’m sure lots of fans will stop for a photo".

Middlesbrough Council commissioned the work from North East-based pixel street artist ZX.8BIT. The artist has done a number of pixel street art in the region over recent months.
Speaking on their latest artwork, the pixel street artist, who is a lifelong Middlesbrough fan, said: "I’m grateful to the Mayor for his support and vision for helping to make this happen.
"As a lifelong Boro fan it means a lot to me to have my work on show next to the stadium where so many fans will see it".
