A teenager has been arrested after reports he exposed himself to kids as they left the school gates.
The alleged flasher, 15, was arrested after plain-clothed officers were posted outside a school in Hartburn, Stockton at the end of the school day on Friday (23).
Police had been called two days running on Monday and Tuesday (May 19 and 20) with reports a man had exposed himself and made inappropriate comments to youngsters as they left school.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Neighbourhood officers PC O’Kane and McKenzie arranged and undertook plain clothed patrols to coincide with the end of the school day, the times when the alleged offences had taken place, in the hope the suspect could be identified and arrested - or at least deterred.”
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and inciting a child to engage in a sexual act.
He was interviewed and has been released on police bail. Investigations continue.
