A man has died after falling from a multi-storey car park in Newcastle city centre.
Emergency services were called to one of the Percy Street car parks on Sunday (April 27) at around 10am after reports a man had fallen.
Tragically, after 999 crews arrived, the man was pronounced dead a short time later. Northumbria Police confirmed his next of kin has been informed.
There is believed to be no third-party involvement in his death and a report is being prepared for the Coroner.
A force spokesperson said: “Shortly before 10am yesterday (Sunday) we received a report that a man had fallen from a car park on Percy Street in Newcastle city centre.
“Emergency services attended, however, the man was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
“The man’s next of kin have been informed of his death.
“There is believed to be no third-party involvement and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”
