One person was taken to hospital following a crash in Hartlepool last night that saw emergency services, including air ambulance crews, swarm the scene.
Emergency services were seen on York Road in the town at around 10.15pm - with a police cordon in place and paramedics also spotted on the road.
Police officers were standing at the cordon for several hours, while other officers were investigating the scene.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 10.22pm on Sunday 30 March to reports of a road traffic incident on York Road in Hartlepool.

"We dispatched an ambulance crew and a clinical team leader to the scene, and requested support from our colleagues at the Great North Air Ambulance Service, who attended by road.
"One patient was taken to James Cook hospital for further treatment."
A van could be seen within the police cordon, while several vehicles were parked just outside the cordon and police officers were seen speaking to bystanders around the scene.
Some debris was left on the road, but further details of the incident are not yet known.
Cleveland Police haven't yet issued a statement on the incident, and it's unknown if the road remains closed at this time.
