Police have issued an update on the plane craft in Croft that left two people in hospital.
Emergency services descended on Croft Circuit on Thursday (March 20) after a light yellow Druine D62B Condor crashed at around 11.50am.
The light aircraft was left flipped upside down on a patch of grass at the Dalton-on-Tees circuit, with police taping off the crash site at the time.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service yesterday confirmed that two people were taken to the Darlington Memorial Hospital following the incident.
They were not thought to have been seriously injured.
And today (March 21), the force has confirmed they both suffered minor injuries.
As previously reported, police, fire, and ambulance crews were all spotted at the scene around midday, with a man wearing a high-vis jacket also seen walking around the aircraft.
It is not yet known how the crash occurred - but the Air Accidents Investigation Branch, which investigates aircraft accidents and serious incidents within the UK, has confirmed it has launched a probe.
One dog walker, who wished to remain anonymous but was passing beside the circuit at the time of the 999 response, told The Northern Echo: “I just heard the sirens when I was out in the garden. I think it was about 11.30am or 11.45am.
"I found out when I went onto Facebook, but it didn’t show much. I thought there might’ve been an accident on the road as I was sitting in the garden.
"I could see them coming this way. We do get incidents here, but I didn’t know it was a light aircraft. I’ve lived here for 11 years. We had nothing like this before.”
The circuit did not wish to provide a comment.
North Yorkshire Police previously said: “We were called to a report that a light aircraft had crashed near Dalton-on-Tees at about 11.50am today.

“Our officers, supported by officers from Durham Constabulary, attended the scene along with the fire and ambulance services.
“Two men in the aircraft were taken to hospital for checks – however, they are not believed to have been seriously injured.
“We are liaising with the Air Accidents Investigation Branch to determine the full circumstances.”
