A County Durham serial offender who breached a criminal order after stealing from vehicles and assault is back behind bars.
Callum Brown, 32, of no fixed abode, Spennymoor, was issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) on February 18 and was arrested for breaching it twice on February 27.
He was charged with the breaches, along with theft from a vehicle, and put back before the court on February 26 this year, where he was given a 26-week suspended prison sentence.
Brown was later arrested in Bishop Auckland on March 6 for theft from a vehicle, two counts of motor vehicle interference and assault.

He appeared before Peterlee Magistrates on March 7 and was handed a ten-week prison sentence, as well as having his 26-week suspended prison sentence activated and added on top.
Following the sentencing, Inspector Pete Newman said: “Callum Brown just can’t seem to help himself, so we are glad to see he has finally been put behind bars.
“Hopefully, this will give residents, businesses and the wider community in our area a break from his offending, and we will continue to work on ways to thwart him causing harm to our community.”
