A County Durham pub has announced its new owners, as they set their plans for reopening the venue.
The Eden Arms, on Staindrop Road in West Auckland, revealed on Wednesday (January 29) that it had installed a couple as its new owners.
Introducing themselves as Mark and Annie, the pair revealed how they would be transforming the pub over the coming months.
Expected to open on Friday (January 31), the venue will welcome customers from 4pm, including live music and draft beer and cider for £3.
In a post on the Eden Arms pub social media page, the new owners have revealed what is in store for customers in the future.
The post reads: "Hello everyone, We felt it’s about time we introduce ourselves. We are Mark and Annie, The new landlords at The Eden Arms.
"Mark is a Chef who has worked in some amazing restaurants in Scandinavia.
"He will be looking after the day-to-day running of the pub alongside his very faithful companion Charlie the Greyhound (where you find Mark you will almost always find a dog).
"Annie is in charge of finance, business development, and final decisions. She is also the licence holder for the pub. So she is a big boss lady around the place."
The new owners went on to say that the pub will be open seven days a week and it was developing the pub's beer garden ready for spring and summer.

Mark and Annie also highlighted that the pub would be opening for food in the near future, including burgers, cottage pies, mince and dumplings, and other firm pub favourites - and even hinted at running a food challenge.
The post added: "We make almost all of our food from scratch and we even have a food challenge in the works.
"We are excited to welcome you all to the pub this Friday at 4pm for live music and a good night.
"Let’s work together To turn The Eden arms into something amazing."
