Jeremy Clarkson has hit back at claims he is selling a £200 pie despite a “made to order” sign being attached.
The former Top Gear host purchased The Windmill pub in Asthall last year for around £1,000,000 and renamed it The Farmer's Dog.
As well as the pub itself, there is a Diddly Squat Farm Shop housed in The Grand Tour tent on the grounds as well as Hops and Chops which serves meat and baked goods.
Hops and Chops was recently featured in an Instagram video by The Skeptics Take which, during a review of the pub, pointed out that an ‘extra, extra large’ pork pie was priced at £199.99.

Despite this item being on the counter and with an authentic price tag attached which even states “made to order”, Mr Clarkson has now hit back at reports that the pie is available to buy.
In an update on Friday on social media, the 64-year-old asserted that the pie pictured was not made of food but did not allude further over the “made to order” sign.
In an update on X on Friday, Mr Clarkson said: “There are reports in some of the sillier newspapers that the enormous pork pie is for sale at the Farmer’s Dog for £200.
“You’re welcome to buy it for that, but I wouldn’t recommend eating it. As it’s not made of food.”

Other items that are displayed in the shop are for sale including produce usually displayed on the counter where the pies are.
These change from time to time but have previously included sausage rolls and pasties.
