A dispersal order has been put in place in Darlington town centre following reports of anti-social behaviour, police have confirmed.
Anyone suspected to be causing trouble in Darlington town centre can expect bans or face arrests this weekend, police say, as they put a dispersal order in place.
The order was introduced from 6pm this evening (January 11) and will last until 9am on Monday (January 12).
Areas included in the perimeter include St Cuthbert's Way and Stanhope Road, among others.
A statement from police reads: "A dispersal order has been put in place in Darlington Town Centre following several reports of anti-social behaviour this afternoon.
"The order started at 6pm and will run until 9am on Monday, January 13.

"It covers the town centre from St Cuthbert’s Way/ St Augustine’s Way, Victoria Road, Stanhope Road and up to North Lodge Terrace.
"Anyone suspected of causing trouble in these areas will be issued with a dispersal order, banning them from returning. Those who ignore the order will face arrest.
"Extra officers will be on patrol throughout the weekend to monitor the situation and deal with anyone causing trouble."
