Around 300 passengers embarked on a Caribbean cruise from Newcastle Airport on a near year getaway.
Hays Travel, chartered a direct flight to Barbados, aimed at providing customers the 'ease and convenience' of flying from their local airport.
Hays Travel staff greeted passengers at Newcastle Airport's check-in and hosted an exclusive airside drinks reception.
The two-week cruise on P&O Cruises' ship, Arvia, takes passengers on a Caribbean adventure around islands like Grenada, St Lucia, St Maarten, and Antigua.
Hays Travel Wallsend's branch manager David Musson, who was at the airport to see customers off said: "It was a great morning at the airport with a real buzz of excitement.
"It was so nice to be able to share that with our lovely customers and to wave them off in person."
Passengers Pauline and Ray Newton, from Belford, Northumberland, were among those setting off.
They were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary said: "Hays Travel have been great.
"They take all the pain away."
