A Darlington Brazilian restaurant has closed for refurbishment.
Estabulo Rodizio Bar and Grill, which is located at DL1 (formerly Feethams leisure complex), has announced it will be revamping its Darlington venue from today (January 2).
The restaurant chain announced it will be closed while the works are carried out, with hopes to “reopen soon” - although no set date was given.
Punters have instead been signposted to the Durham restaurant, which opened in 2022 on Durham’s Riverwalk.
The news of the refurb came just hours after a post on social media from Estabulo said it “can’t wait” to welcome customers back on January 2.
The full statement, posted online yesterday (Wednesday, January 1), said: “Important update: Estabulo Darlington will be closed for refurbishment from tomorrow, Thursday, January 2.
“We hope to be reopened soon! Your nearest Estabulo will be in Durham whilst works are ongoing.
“We thank all of our customers from 2024 for a great year, and look forward to continuing to provide the finest Rodizio experience in the UK in 2025.”

Opening in Darlington in 2018, Estabulo is known for serving up a “true taste of Brazil”, honouring the Brazilian Gaúcho's traditional method of cooking.
The firm currently has several locations across the country, including in Leeds, Doncaster, Wakefield, Aberdeen, Barnsley, Beverley, and Norwich.
It also previously had a restaurant in York, at the Vangarde shopping park, which closed suddenly in October after almost four years.
