A provisional trial date has been set for a man suspected of committing child sex offences.
James Wilson, of Malone Gardens, Birtley, near Chester-le-Street, has appeared at Newcastle Crown Court charged with two offences.
The 46-year-old is accused of an attempt to engage in sexual communication with a child and an attempt to cause a child aged 13 to 15 to look at an image of sexual activity.

The case against him has been adjourned until September 5 for a further plea and case management hearing.
A trial has been fixed for April 28 next year.
He has been granted conditional bail.
