It is set to be a warm yet overcast Thursday in Darlington and County Durham today as the Met Office predicts temperatures could reach up to 20C.
Summer seems to finally be getting underway and temperatures are heating up in to the 20s according to the forecaster who predicts sunshine as well as some cloud today (June 20).
Today, temperatures will reach a high of 20C from 3pm, but is then set to drop to a low of 15C by 11pm this evening.
Heading in to the weekend, the forecaster has said that “sunny spells” are set to continue with possible showers.

The forecaster predicts: “Rather cool start, with any isolated mist patches soon lifting. A fine day follows, with sunny spells, but also some cloudier periods possible.
“Temperatures around or just above average, and feeling warm during the sunshine, with only light winds. Maximum temperature 21 °C.”
