Police seized 150 plants during a raid on a County Durham property yesterday.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: "Officers from Spennymoor neighbourhood team carried out a warrant at a property on South Street yesterday morning (June 12).
"Once inside they located more than 100 plants and detained a man within the property.
"The 34-year-old was arrested on suspicion of production of a class B drug and abstracting electricity."
The man has been charged and is due to appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court this morning.
